The Collection: Buy a Collection Book

The lavish Fuji ACMP Collection 7, edited by ACMP Patron Rob Imhoff, catalogues 214 breathtaking images from 85 of Australia's best photographers.

Published by the Society of Advertising, Commercial and Magazine Photographers (ACMP), the book is the seventh of an ongoing annual series on Australian professional photography. A secret ballot 'in or out' system is used to judge entries in the following categories: Non-Commissioned; Commissioned; Series/Photo Essay (both Non-Commissioned and Commissioned); Student/Assistant.

Photojournalist Rennie Ellis provides interesting professional profiles on Greg Bartley, Andreas Smetana, Catherine Gasmier and Petrina Hicks.

The foreword, by journalist Michael Shmith, son of past 'Hall of Fame' recipient Athol Shmith, is complimented by personal observations of photography from: magazine editor Robyn Gower, national creative director of Campaign Palace Ron Mather, photojournalist David Dare Parker and photographer Ann Ouchterlony.

These are accompanied by ACMP insights from former President David Simmonds, Chairman of the Collection Committee Gavin Blue, and Chairman of Judging Philip Quirk.

Australian Magazine journalist Victoria Laurie provides an informative insight into the life of Hall of Fame recipient Richard Woldendorp.

The seven books of the Fuji ACMP Australian Photographers Collection represent an invaluable resource for buyers of photographs, collectors and students of photography. Each photograph is catalogued in the directory/index, providing photographer's contact details, date and location of shoot, client, printer, photo representative/agent, and the equipment used.
