Working for members
The ACMP:
- Established the annual Fuji ACMP Collection to showcase and promote the work of Australian photographers
- Publishes "The Collection" book each year, a copy of which goes to every member
- Produces the Better Business Bible, containing legally vetted sample contracts, forms, releases etc.,a copy of which goes to every member
- Organises seminars and training on topics of current interest
- Maintains the ACMP Website, which as well as providing information in a Members Only Area also allows members to display a small portfolio and link to their own website or e-mail account
- Will soon provides an ACMP Member Identity/Press Card which identifies a member as a bona fide professional photographer subscribing to ACMP standards
- Offers entry to exclusive Federal and State functions for members, and discounted entry on functions open to the public
Your voice can be heard where it matters
The ACMP, with over nearly 400 members, gives you a united voice when and where it matters. Established in 1991, together with the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP) it represents around 1600 photographers in Australia and thats some voice when promoting the industry and lobbying Government.

The Better Business Bible, which is being expanded into a complete professioal handbook, already provides valuable information to help ACMP members run their businesses more efficiently.

The ACMP aims to:
- Promote high professional standards and ethics in photography
- Encourage development and discussion about all aspects of the business and art of photography
- Safeguard and promote the interests of photographers
- Influence education and training procedures in the profession
- Promote co-operation and understanding between photographers and their clients
- Establish photographers rights and set precedents in areas such as copyright and finance
- Act as a resource centre for photographers
- Cultivate friendship and understanding among colleagues
